Tapestry in Three

Playing with sunlight...

My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue
An everlasting vision of the ever changing view
A wondrous woven magic of bits of blue and gold
A tapestry to feel and see, impossible to hold

Spider Chronicles

Look, he's crawling up my wall
Black and hairy , very small
Now he's up above my head
Hanging by a little thread

Boris the spider!

Now he's dropped onto the floor
heading for the bedroom door

Maybe he's scared as me
Where he's gone now, I can't see

Boris the spider

There he is wrapped in a ball
Doesn't see to move at all
Perhaps he's dead, I'll just make sure
Pick this book up off the floor

Boris the spider

He's come to a sticky end
Don't think he will ever mend
Never more will he crawl around
He's embedded in the ground!

Boris the spider

White Pine Water Colours

3 versions of a small White Pine reflecting in the water
of Lake Muskoka
These images have been reversed so the sand bottom
in the shallow water act as clouds in the sky.
played with the levels at a bit of saturation
this gave me real water colour!

Torn

"Torn, tired, twisted
Just an earthbound misfit, I."

with thanks to Pink Floyd
as I have taken liberties with
their original lyrics.

Can you see the story in these images?
I will be happy to explain if you ask.

The Spider and the Fly

Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Said the cunning Spider to the Fly, "Dear friend what can I do,
to prove  the warm affection Ive' always felt for you
'Sweet creature!" said the Spider "your witty and your wise,
how handsome are your gauzy wings, how brilliant are your eyes"
" I thank you gentle," sir she said
"for what you 're pleased to say,
And bidding you a good morning now, Till call another day"

Alas, alas! how very soon the silly Fly,
Hearing his wily, flattering words, came slowly flitting by;
With buzzing wings she hung aloft, then near and nearer drew,
Thinking only of her brilliant eyes, and green and purple hue-
Thinking only of her crested head- poor foolish thing! At last
Up jumped the cunning Spider, and fiercely held her fast.
He dragged her up his winding stair, into his dismal den,
Within his little parlour - but she never came out again?

Insect Love

Insect, insect candlelight
Doin' the town and doin' it right
In the evenin'
Its pretty pleasin'

Insect Susie, Insect Sam
Do the jitterbug out in insect land
And they shimmy
And Sammy's so skinny

And they whirled and they twirled and they tangoed
Singn' and jingn' the jango
Floatin' like the heavens above
It looks like Insect love

The Clouds in My Sky

After a very long day at work I was able to relax on our deck with my lovely wife.
Over about a 45 minute period I shot these images.
The 1st shows allot of colour, because of the mini rainbow that appeared.
All of these images have simply been put through smart fix in photoshop
nothing fancy.

again I mention, too see these at best click on the image.

Set Your Sights High
Or You Cannot Be Cirrus

I aspire to Asperatus,
Though my aim is Alto Stratus
And my Cumulo's not as Nimbus as it was.
But my Circumzenithal Arc
Looks just as good, light or dark,
With my Kelvin-Helmhotz,
Fringed with Diamond Dust.

As my Auntie Crepuscular says
"Don't chase Noctilucent rays!
Save your glory
For the Horseshoe Vortex crowd."
So I'll stand up for my Incus
And ignore all blue-sky thinkers.
Come on Mammas!
Lift your heads up!!
And be proud!!

Early Morning in the Field

This is an image I took with a point and shoot on my way to work one very early morning.
I have used the water colour tool in photoshop many times in the past, but I could not get what I was looking for with this image.
So I found after an hour or so that I could achieve what I wanted by simply adjusting the saturation 1st, then adjusting the light ,shadows, contrast and sharpness in quick fix !
I do believe that I have produced the water colour look?

as usual click on the image to get a proper look!

The Fly's Wall

The Wind is blowing harder now,
Blowing dust in my eyes.
The dust settles on my skin,
Making a crust I cannot move in,
And I'm hovering like a fly,
Waiting for the windshield on the freeway.

Machine's Return to Nature

This is an image I reworked recently for a photo contest
The theme was Machinery
I liked the simplicity and how the image portrays natures interaction.
