Dumbledore ?

The Bumblebee (genus Bombus) is a native bee of North America
all though common in New Zealand and Tasmania
there are over 250 known species
The often hairy pollen gathering insect is a member of the Hymenoptera order
He is not The Headmaster of Hogwarts
though JK Rowling borrowed his name

The image of Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
takes a knock when you discover that our word is linked
to an old dialect dummel, for someone who is stupid or slow!

This is not the Bumblebee!

Autumn's Approach

From Geese in the air
to the latest summer blooms,
there is even a dead leaf
on my barbeque
Oh summer what ever happened to you!

Your fleeting moments were grand
but with a killer frost
you became second hand
your gone....
only to be replaced by my shovel to brand!

Sin City

Some more images from my trip to Toronto
these are from the seedier side of Younge st.
The Zanzibar is one of Canada's oldest strip clubs.

everything sticks...
It's a lousy room in a lousy  part
of a lousy town."

A City Reflection

Three images from my trip to Toronto
These skyscrapers are not my cup of tea,
but they do give us some really interesting abstract images.

One tower gives birth to another!

Somebody lives here?

 A country boy's nightmare!

The Scream in the Stream

Recently entered this image in a photo contest
the theme was "Bubbles"
A participant from Norway said it reminded her of a painting
but she could not remember the name.
A light bulb went on....Of course its "The Scream"
by Norwegian painter Edvard Munch.
They are actually a series of expressionist paintings
Google "The Scream " and you may see what we mean!!
