Winter Bloom

Where the winter blooms
there is none to approve
it stands all alone
in a barren white wilderness

As the turn of spring comes along
the snow sheet slowly in retreat
it stands all alone
fading to the coming times

Silently it had entered
and yet silently it leaves
there stood a winter bloom
all alone

The next day brought sunshine and a golden glow!

for it is the
