laden with water from a sprinkler.

With the focus on the screen, gave 

the garden , surrounded by a split rail fence, and full of

Black Eyed Susan a very painted look.

minor adjustments to contrast and saturation only.

Fledgling Locks

A few locks of hair from a child so

fair,

A miracle from above placed

gently in our care.

This child is growing up so fast.

Tomorrow is the future, today is 

the past,

Walking ...talking ...fading riddles

and rhymes,

These locks of hair remain a

keepsake of past times.

Simply sunlight through a screened window

from outside.

accents on cactus and drapery.

Silenced

The night was steel grey and bitter cold as I sat alone in my car,

dreading what I had to do. Then she appeared, a true minx

all wrapped in fur, the one Dame who could make things go so wrong.

She stepped into the street, I sucked in a deep breath

and put the car in gear...

The plant that he is taking nectar from is Butterfly Weed

a member of the Milk weed family, the Monarch Butterfly's favorite.
