Fantasia

These are macro images of a hardwood flooring
called Picasso Artwood..Fantasia
A most interesting floor
If you stare closely it moves!
I have this available to buy at my work.
A friend recently bought 2 boxes with the intention
of putting it up on a accent wall..
Way Funky!

there is another version with darker colours
Would you like to see it?

A Maple Leaf Carpet

A Maple Leaf Carpet

On the forest floor
once so full of colours,
Now so earthly brown today,
and soon to turn a decaying gray .
only to help nurture a new seasons flash
They go round and round again.

Coccothraustes vespertinus

Evening Grosbeaks
The winter finches have already arrived on mass!
The poor seed crop in the north will be our joy,
over the long dreary winter months.
These beautiful birds are south looking to feed.
They may eat us out of house and home!

10,000

I wish to share a milestone...
with someone from one of the last 5 countries
to view what I had to offer on this blog in the past day.

10,000 Baby!

Hits that is.

Thousands more God willing!
so I offer up a rare view of the
shy and very nocturnal photographer!

Carduelis pinus

"Bird on a Wire"

The Pine Siskin
One of Canada's nomadic finches.
Taken in the yard and perched on our clothesline
I personally really enjoy the pastel backgrounds,
that you only get in autumn.

Whats Left...

On a misty October morning.

Whats left from a season of colour,
from springs green growth,
to summers sweet flowers,
and then an autumnal bliss,
we will have to make do
with winters white's..
and dream a long night's
dream,
of another season of colour!

October's Rose

Summers roses in a fast array,
Of  lovely colours on display,
Still pale by far, to October's rose,
Who proclaims her beauty, above them all...

Summers roses, bloom with ease,
Having been given all that they need.

Long sun drenched days and gentle rain,
For summers rose, there is little restrain.

Yet many obstacles must be overcome,
For October's rose, struggle to unfold

She's bathed in chilling frost
and endures autumns blast,
She knows the sun has gone to a summer place.

Withe precious little help,
She miraculously unfolds,
Her unmatched beauty, on an October day.

Yellow Jacket

After a cold night this Yellow Jacket was moving slow
and I felt a bit sure, that I was safe getting up in his face!

Seasonally Retired

The scent of sheets blown dry in a summer breeze is gone!
A clothes line now out of service.
Happy to put you to work in the coming Spring!

Autumnal Frosting

Slight sunshine through the bedroom window
woke me. A look outside revealed a hard fall frost.
Grabbed my camera and macro lens with my trusted
tripod and went out to find some images.
The Lavetera that I left when cleaning out the garden earlier
ripe for the picking!
Here are a few of my favorites...enjoy.
