Shadow Hunter

As you can see what caught my eye was the shadow of  spider.
This fellow was upside down with his web in my ornamental corn.
the 1st 3 images are one day the the last a day later he succeeded and was
enjoying a meal of fly!
He is "Inky Dinky the Shadow Hunter"

Concrete Jungle

Two versions of a shadow from one of my planter boxes
one without editing and another with a plastic wrap to give it that urban feeling?

Up Close and Personal

some macro work in our spring garden

"The worlds favorite season is spring.
All things seem possible in May."
~Edwin Way Teale

Actias luna

A Luna Moth female
so pretty, this image does not due it justice!
Sad thought, her lifespan approximation is only 7 days
very fleeting moment in the history of our world.

Vanessa atalanta

A Red Admiral Butterfly
enjoying the Catmint in full bloom.

One O'clock jump

At 1pm or about I met this fellow in a parking lot
As I found out after a bit, his name is Basie
after the Count of course.
He is 19 months old and weighs in at a cool 190 pounds
His likes are food and tummy scratches
his favorite tune is...guess?

Storm Front

In a matter of minutes
the sky went from friendly to violent.

Stealth Fishing

The Great Blue Heron
still, silent and a precision hunter.

Got lucky and found this fellow in mid hunt
from start to finish...where he walks off to enjoy his lunch
in peace and quiet.

Beetle Baily

I found these beetles on my Peony this afternoon.
They are tiny , i'd say a little smaller than a nail head.
But it seams there drive for life is huge
Gotta love procreation
Always makes me smile!

Floral Shadow

After a long day at work
one retires to his deck for some peace and a cold beverage
When an image appears!
A 30 second dash for his camera and two quick snaps.
Then the light has moved on and the image is gone.
A fleeting moment caught.

simply a shadow of a petunia on the side of the house.

Riders on the Storm

Into this world were thrown"

Clouds to the left of me....

Jokers to the right
here I am stuck in the middle with you!
All three shots were taken in my yard as a storm
approached from the west..
It was amazing to find totally different skies
by just turning around

Many thanks to Gerry Rafferty
for  freakin with his lyrics to
"stuck in the middle with you"

The Lion Weed

The Dandelion
This pretty yellow flower in the matter of two days
goes to seed and germinates rather quickly.
Its is a perennial weed and is a curse to all lawn lovers
Good thing I'm not a lawn lover!
If I was a may not get great images as such.

Jeremiah

Was a Bull Frog...Rana catasbeiana
North Americas largest frogs.
This is close , closer and closest!
Joy to the world, all the boys and girls now
Joy to the fishers in the deep blue sea,
singing joy to you and me!

An we can all help drink his wine!
