Winter Garden

Frosty-white and cold it lies
Underneath the fretful skies;
Snow flakes flutter where the red
Banners of the poppies spread,
And the drifts are wide and deep
Where the lilies fell asleep

  1. I have never read one of L M Montgomery's poems before. I shouldn't be surprised though, her writing in Anne of Green Gables is poetic!
