Reflections of Lake Mistinikon

Reflections
A Lake that made so many impressions on me
40 years of memory's
This lake gave me joy and grief
it tried to take my life.
frost bite.
Beautiful views and nature's harvest.
Moments so pure
with so many friends past and spots on the map
Whiskey Jack, Alcatraz, Horse Shoe
Sunken, Woodpecker
Ahmic creek
and so much more

Light Streams

light streams
through maple trees
a dance upon a frozen canvas
sparkles to and fro
Colour comes forth, not seen before.
The sun beams, and gives me a feeling
soft quiet peace and joy.

Cold Dark Current

The Current

Cold,
Dark,
It will pull you under.
Numb to its touch,
you fight to no avail.
its quick and painless.
Destination...down river.

Winter Bones

"The wind makes you ache in some place that is deeper than your bones.
It maybe that it touches something cold in the human soul,
a chord of race memory that says , Migrate or die -
migrate or die"

Flowers Past

Flowers past
were flowers loved
they live long in our photographs
memories, cherished
 only to be shared
and not forgotten.

Winter Squalls

Winter Squalls

A harsh reminder of  our northern life,
white layered  landscape.
A white covered eye.
Blind is the feeling,
desperate is the truth.
Winter is in control of my life!
