Pennistetum glaucum

Pearl Millet," Purple Majesty"
grown in my flower pots
as a height interest
an ornamental grass that produces
large blooms and seed that feed many birds in my yard
late in summer and into fall
These are the blooms before the seed is produced.
In a macro view.

The River and Sky

Slow current
ripples with reflections
softly flowing south
brings to mind a quiet dream
a dream so soft and slow
laying on your back underneath the trees
with your ears beneath the water
quiet and serene
only the feeling of a current
to keep an anchor on reality.

6 Feet on Lace

The wide open space
with all six feet on the white
such a delicate lace
with green open depths
one must accept
this vast land of intricate
time and space
a microcosm

Suds

Like clouds in the sky
they slowly float by
movement in water brings them to life
on down stream
in their short life
some fleeting interest
captured so nice.

First Morning Bright

The early AM the sun is so bright,
it blinds the eye and distorts my view.
My lens works hard to find its focus,
A flash and flare,
like under some glass
bring in all the intense bright,
with all the summer light.
