Light, water & Flower

A Blood Orange Rudbeckia
in our back garden (nicknamed Africa because of its shape)
The late afternoon sun was shining through the maple trees
An as we are in a drought situation, I had the sprinkler
on just enough to keep the gardens alive.
The lawn is dead and very crispy!

Reality Distorted

An effort involving light and glass.
Taken in the night using moonlight, window glass
and lamp light....reality...really!

Sialia sialis

Eastern Bluebird
This is a nest box at my parents property
My Pop has helped their population get back
to more proper levels in his piece of the world
by supplying 50 plus nest boxes (all hand made)
over the last 20 years and covering a huge area.
I just wish my images of these wee beauties
were as fine as his.

A Study of Corn

or commonly known as Ornamental Corn
Variegated leaves with purple, white and 3 shades of green.
they produce cobs of deep purple
and when dried make great fall decorations.
They make a wonderful foliage background in any garden

You cannot holler "STELLA!" no mater how hard you try.
She is just to sweet.

12 Spotted Skimmer

Today I saw a dragonfly
Come from the wells where he did lie.
An inner impulse rent the veil
Of his old husk: from head to tail
Came out clear plates of sapphire mail.
He dried his wings: like gauze they grew;
Thro' crofts and pastures wet with dew
A living flash of light he flew.

Moon Lighting

A late night sitting on the deck before bed
The moon was bright and delivered these images
of my planters in a different light.

"A dreamer is the one who can only find his way
by moonlight.
His punishment is that he sees the dawn before
the rest of the world."
