Ferruginous

With the winter weather here,
I continue to revisit Arizona.

With a smile, this Ferruginous Hawk
gave me some fantastic images.
These were shot at an open aviary
at the Tucson Desert Museum.

The most common
and most spectacular
Arizona desert flower.
Commonly known as Coach-Whip

I am revisiting my trip to Arizona with my Pop in 2009
there are a myriad of images that I have yet to really discover.
These are macro shots of  a Plume Thistle, early in it development.
Keep tuned for more Arizona Flora!

Elvis Lives...

The last sighting of Elvis was in Toledo Ohio
where he was working as a fry cook.
Before that he was spotted posing as a speed bump
on Hollywood boulevard.
He is the man of a thousand faces.
Just today I caught him in my backyard, doing his best impersonation of a Starling!
His wardrobe gave him away! not to mention that haircut!
