Octobers Bloom

The Toad Lilly
the size  of a thumbnail
grows all summer
but no blooms until the weather
goes south.

Family Trek

Thanksgiving
My Brother and Family were here
Dan wanted to walk the trail just by our house,
But he had no camera.
So I gave him my point and shoot
(never leave home without it!)
Dan and my nephew Winston went on the tromp
and they snapped these images.
I had great fun playing with post processing!

Lifes Struggle

Phragmites Light

The light catches your eye
stop and see the kaleidoscope
of colour
sunshine dancing in plain view
A respite, for just a while
 tomorrow foreshadows
our future.
hibernation is your best solution!

Autumn Night

Painting effect
A shot of a planter
taken at night.

Legend of a Leaf in the Wind

I found a Autumn leaf
He was ragged and worn
missing parts but full of colour
The  only thing he had left,
The Wind
After being stationary for most of his life,
travel was his just right.
Adventure and daring
He dropped in and there
drank in the last of his life.

I followed,
trying to capture
This spree .
Hours are days in my Leafs life
an afternoon spent in mine.
I think you can tell
this was a special day
For He..and Me.

Ragged Glory

A Monarch
 Regal aloft in the sky
Now grounded late this season
Once dancing in the garden
Only to enjoy sunshine and warmth
For one last day
Flight has been taken away
Held high to the sky
One last look
South will not come
May the warmth of touch
And appreciation bring her solace

Summers Past

Summer Past
Daylight grows short
Evening warmth is fleeting
Chlorophyll
Essential for life
 Short supply
Photosynthesis stalls
Raise the alarm
Scarlet red
With a last breath
I ask....

Bush Tiger

The Chipmunk
He's not Alvin!
In the garden he is destructive
and we take him out!
At the fishing camp
we feed him peanuts
He is a Bush Tiger
as my Pop called him.

Boogie Woogie Neglected

A trip to the dump today
to unleash myself of so much junk
flotsam and jetsam
poured overboard..
What is that? she caught my eye
a Boogie Woogie queen from the past
She was disheveled and in much trauma
beyond repair
I hope these images will give her
a legacy and some peace
never forget to Boogie!

Storm Clouds

When hot meets cold
a reaction is near
the conversation is short and harsh
no compromise
just swift and hard
natural beauty it brings..yes
but you must take cover.
