Whitewash Fragmented

Whitewash
Lush, soft brush,
Slashed even and smooth
over bumps and stains

And we try to forget
The people we upset
The things we did
Out of weakness and pain

Whitewash,
With a thick, harsh brush
Sloshed wishfully
O'er blots and marks

See nice, fresh wall
In bedroom and hall.
But don't forget
Under white - its dark.

40 Below

Most Canadians when they hear "Its 40 Below"
will launch into a tune "and I don't give a F**K
got a heater in my truck, and I'm of to the Rodeo!"

Well this is 30 below at the falls of the Muskoka river
right here in Bracebridge...the mist coming off the falls makes for some interesting frozen images
These shots are from the upper falls.
The lower falls to follow.
see ya soon!

Canadian eh !

Hey
I'm not a lumber jack
or a fur trader
And I don't live in an igloo
or eat blubber
or own a dog sled
I don't know Jimmy or Suzie from Canada
although I'm sure their really nice
I have a Prime Minister not a President
I speak English and French not american
And I pronounce it "about" not "a-boot"
I can  proudly sew my flag on my backpack
I believe in peace keeping not policing
diversity not assimilation
And that the Beaver is a truly proud and noble animal
A toque is a hat and a chesterfield is a couch
and its pronounced "Zed" not "Zee:
Canada is the 2nd largest land mass
The 1st nation of hockey
And the best part of North America
My name is T-bone and I AM CANADIAN !!!

Fire & Ice

Some would say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice.
From what Iv'e tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
is also great
And would suffice.

Spirit of the Dead Mouse

Once I had a body
which I used to feed.
But now the ants have taken me,
and fed me to their queen.

Curse my old, stubby snout
which led me astray
Delicious morsels it would out,
and lead me on my raids.

Lady, forgiveness please
which I don't deserve.
I took your chocolate disease,
and I'm dead forever

A Dragons Briefs

For Those Canadians out there
this would be a Dragon Fly with my favorite
pair of Stanfeilds undies on the washing line.
Hence the name "Dragons Briefs"

Never a bad shot...

This image started out as an oops! shot...overexposed
and many would dispose
But not me.
Through the magic of the digital darkroom
I repaired it to a nice natural image
and the took it further
now to a watercolour fantasy.

Avian Watercolours

Broke out the digital paint brush today!

Alice

Also known as Cleopatra ...
Just look at that makeup.
She was named after a Tom Waits tune.
"for I fell through the ice with Alice"

Last Year

Last Years Leaf
spent, used and  an earth bound misfit
Once so green and then so full of colour
now she lies upon a new years palette...
