Real Water Colours

This series of images were inspired by the the work of my friend Wally Edwards (His blog can be found on the sidebar) and an article I read in the Outdoor Photographer.
They were taken on the Muskoka River yesterday, when I noticed pieces of ice following the current through a myriad of pastel colours left by the reflections of the trees on the other side. The series follows one small ice flow, to and past the reflection of a large birch tree. To make the colours pop I ever so slightly increased the saturation, this gave the images more of the colour my human eye saw that day, and the look of water colour paintings.

  1. Ted, I am pleased I inspired you. It is fun seeing pieces of nature that most eyes miss.
